I have lived with a visual disability since birth.
But I have learned that I am not my disability. I even set out to prove it to myself at age sixty-five, when I set myself a year of ten different challenges, in different areas of my life, such as a physical, mental, social, and spiritual challenge.
It turned out to be an amazing year of breaking personal records and celebrating life. At the end of that year, I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I am so much more than my disability. I am not a failure! And I have proof of it.
I am here to tell you the same, you are not your disability. You are so much more. You can succeed in life in spite of your disability, by challenging your limiting beliefs about yourself and your capabilities.
